Shea love with Shea Moisture

Ladies, Treasure Tress have hooked us up!

February is the month of love, more importantly showing ourselves some self love. Everyday life gets in the way and us Qweens always seem to not put ourselves first on the top of our self care list. Well what better way to treat ourselves than with a Shea Moisture takeover box from Treasure Tress.

If you don’t already know, I love Shea Moisture. It would be my dream to be a Shea Ambassador as this brand has to be my favourite brand of all time and I’m super excited to be doing this unboxing.

This line is perfect for those who are natural, chemically processed, have colour treated or heat styled hair.

Jamaican Black Castor Oil has many benefits and is what I call a ‘power’ oil. Free from all the nasties, this incredible oil can:

  • Increases hair growth
  • Thickens hair that is starting to thin
  • Combats dry hair
  • Prevents dry scalp
  • Reduces and prevents hair damage
  • Makes out tresses thicker and fuller
  • Deep conditions and provides extra moisture to hair and scalp
  • Gives a boost to the overall health of our hair

The Strengthen and Restore Shampoo is sulphate free. Even though it is sulphate free, I would say this is more of a clarifying shampoo that doesn’t seem to strip any moisture from my hair and is great at removing product build up. Although the shampoo is of a runny consistency to what I am use to, it definitely does the job. As it has castor oil, it promotes healthy hair growth and reduces breakage. What more could you ask for in a shampoo.

The Strengthen and Restore Treatment Masque is amazing! Restoring strength to damaged hair, it has a thick consistency and felt like butter when being applied to my strands. I am very heavy handed with conditioners so this went on a treat. When rinsed out it left my hair feeling strong but soft and moisturised, ready for the blow drying process.

This Leave-In Conditioner has got to be one of my favourite nourishing and repairing leave-in conditioners. Packed with Organic Shea Butter, Peppermint and Keratin, it deeply moisturises while conditioning your hair and scalp, promoting hair growth and stimulating the scalp. My hair instantly soaked it up while applying on to my strands, and straight away felt my hair strengthen.

Trying out the Styling Lotion for the first time has given me mixed impressions. I think it is perfect as a styling aid and moisturiser on both wet and dry hair, but not as a heat protectant. I tested it out on a small section to blow dry but it left my hair feeling dry. Whereas when I applied on wet hair, my hair was instant moisturised. I guess the actual Thermal Protection spray from this line would be better. I do have to say my hair loved this product when wet and saw my curls define.

Overall, I think this line is one of the best Shea Moisture have brought to the market. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is transitioning as it works well with both textures of hair.

I have a cheeky 10% off discount code for anyone who wants to subscribe to Treasure Tress.
